Obama’s Speech at the “We Are One” Concert

So I read this morning at Talking Points Memo that HBO has been deleting “We Are One” concert clips off YouTube. That’s a shame. In the event that you haven’t heard President Obama’s speech given at the end of the concert here it is. My apologies for the jittery camera. It was freaking COLD and I had no tripod.

Enjoy!

  1. My wife, Ann, and I were also at the Lincoln Memorial. And – yes – it was too darn cold. And crowded.

What gave us the most chills was not the weather but U2 singing “Pride” on the Lincoln Memorial steps to the first African-American U.S. President-Elect. That was historic and especially poignant.

Nevertheless, our view was terrible and the sound system was not much better. I’m glad we taped it on HBO to watch later.
